Kathy Stone has been singing barbershop for nearly 50 years. She starated singing with her Mom in Ramapo Valley, NJ when she needed a lead to sing with her. When they moved to Georgia, Kathy and her mom joined Song of Atlanta. Kathy was an assistant director when she was 16 years old.
When just 25 years old, Kathy became director of Song of Atlanta for two years, winning Regional Championship once. Then married life intervened and she spent the next ten years building her family.
In 1998, Kathy joined Harmony Inc.’s Georgia Connection where she was the Music Committee Chair. She was a member there until 2004 when she started Atlanta Harmony Celebration! AHC! has been the Area Champion chorus for the past four years.
Kathy was a Certified Music Judge for seven years. She owns and manages the newest Camp Bow Wow in Lawrenceville, open just two years.
Kathy has been married for 30+ years to Rick (who doesn’t sing!), has two grown daughters, Elie and Sarah. Both are Harmony Inc. members of AHC! Elie is still active in the chorus as current President and Sarah has recently moved to the DC area for work.
